Allergies

Many animals suffer from allergies, these can range from food allergies, environmental allergies, contact allergies, flea / mite allergies or any mixture of these components.

The skin as an organ has the highest number of nerve endings, so any superficial irritant will be extremely uncomfortable for your animal.

If your pet displays any form of skin irritation please arrange a consultation for a thorough clinical examination, before any permanent damge to the skin is achieved.

Kennel Cough

Did you know that infectious bronchitis (commonly called 'kennel cough') is a highly infectious cough that can be picked up by your dog while in boarding kennels or by close contact with other infected dogs, e.g. at dog shows, agility events or even in the park.

The good news is that the infection can be prevented by vaccination, the vaccine provides 90% - 100% protection, is given intranasaly, and now provides a full years protection.

Inquire about the vaccine when in for your pet's annual booster vaccination , as we routinely give the two vaccines together. This will help to take the stress out of holidays knowing that your dog is ready for kenneling.

Microchipping

Now you see them, now you don't! Sadly it's all too easy for pets to go missing and if this happens it could mean that you`ve lost your pet for good.

Thankfully there is a solution, for a small fee your pet can be microchipped, this means the insertion of a painless chip into the scruff of the animals neck, the unique id number is not only registered on our computer but also on a national database meaning minimal separaton from your loved one.
